Three Indian Schools Win ‘World’s Best School’ Prizes 2024

Three Indian schools from Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu have been honored as winners of the prestigious 2024 World’s Best School Prizes. This year marks a historic achievement for Indian schools, with two of the winners set to receive $10,000 each.

The winning schools include Ryan International School in Delhi’s Vasant Kunj, CM RISE School Vinoba in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh, and Kalvi International Public School in Madurai, Tamil Nadu.

Vikas Pota, founder of T4 Education and the World’s Best School Prizes, praised the achievement, saying, “India’s success in having three winners demonstrates the strength of the nation’s educational institutions. These schools are models of high performance and are tackling key societal challenges through education.”

Category Winners and Contributions:

  • CM RISE School Vinoba (Innovation Category): Originally founded for tribal girls in an urban slum, this state-run school now serves students from kindergarten to secondary levels and was recognized for its innovative practices.
  • Ryan International School (Environmental Action Category): The school won for its efforts to address water scarcity and pollution through initiatives like hydroponics and biogas plants. It plans to use the prize money to expand green technologies and develop a start-up incubator for student-led environmental projects.
  • Kalvi International Public School (Community Choice Award): This school topped the Community Choice category, which included 50 shortlisted schools.

Grace Pinto, Managing Director of Ryan International School, expressed gratitude for the win: “We are immensely thrilled that Ryan International, Vasant Kunj, has been crowned World Champion for Environmental Action 2024! We thank our Lord Jesus Christ and appreciate T4 Education’s recognition of our efforts.”

This recognition shines a global spotlight on India’s progress in education, emphasizing how schools can drive innovation, sustainability, and community engagement.
