IIT Delhi Launches MS (Research) Program in Healthcare Technology for Medical Professionals

IIT Delhi has introduced a Master of Science (Research) program in Healthcare Technology, tailored for professionals in the medical and allied clinical fields. Scheduled to begin in January 2025, the program will be run by the Centre for Biomedical Engineering (CBME) at IIT Delhi. It aims to merge medical science with advanced engineering to drive deep-tech innovations in healthcare.
Candidates interested in the program can find more details on the official website. Applications are open until October 25, 2024, and can be submitted online at ecampus.iitd.ac.in/PGADM/login.
The program emphasizes a project-based learning approach, offering students practical exposure through collaborations with clinical and industrial partners. This immersion helps participants develop insights into both the healthcare industry and the technological solutions shaping it.
Designed with flexibility in mind, the program allows medical professionals to continue their clinical practice alongside their studies. It includes core subjects and lab courses aligned with industry needs and equips students for roles in research, academia, and the healthcare sector.

Participants will also receive competitive fellowships and stipends, comparable to entry-level salaries for graduates in medical and related fields.
Additionally, the program provides a pathway to a PhD at IIT Delhi, reinforcing its focus on long-term research and development in biomedical technology.
Students will engage in advanced research areas such as precision medicine, biomaterials, medical implants, imaging technologies, rehabilitation solutions, biomimetic systems, and translational medicine, preparing them for impactful careers in healthcare innovation.
